The bottle looks very simple, almost like a cheap beer. Beer in the glass better, zippy, nice head. Starts mild, spicy-grasy, soft-hoppy notes in the background. All in all quite mild, but not washy. Very drinkable. Good beer!

What a pleasant surprise to find a Franconian beer in the Black Forest! - bottle, bought in Rottweil. Clear golden yellow colour, large white head. Malty nose. Medium-bodied, pleasantly malty with some spicy and grassy hops, very well balanced. A very nice Helles!

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a big and blonde foamy white head. Slightly sweet and dusty, also a bit soapy pale malty nose with traces of grains and a whiff of herbal, slightly woody hops. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Initially malty, slightly chalky and minimal grainy taste with a growing bitterness towards the finish which is quite dry and moderately herbal and bitter hoppy. Rather hoppy for a Helles, nevertheless no highlight (20.X.08).
