Bottle at Cafe Wanderer Nuremberg. Clear gold lasting white head. Malty bready. Decent hops. Not fully attenuated. Some butter on aroma. Not sure it’s diacetyl . Good hops on the finish though. Bitter. Shame about the aroma.

Half litre glass, on-tap on 21st Jan 2016 at Weiss Blau in Berlin. Clear light gold in colour, the head like a thin white blanket of snow. Grainy nose with a grass/floral twist: taste also grainy, floral and on the sweet side of the scale. Nice opener for a little session of four beers in one of my favourite drinking establishments in Berlin.

Draft @ Fränkisches Bierfest, Nürnberg. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty grainy aroma with grassy hints. Fruity malty grainy flavor. Has a fruity malty grainy weak grassy finish.

Bottled, from Biershop Bayern. Clear golden, rocky head. Mild floral hop aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and soft mouthfeel. Fruity with some bread and floral grassy hops. Long bitter drying finish. Quality helles with focus on the excellent local hops.

0,5 l bottle. Golden in the glass, big white head. Low grainy on the nose. Taste is grainy, hay, low bready bitterness. Just a "Brotzeitbier", nothing special, but well brewed.

Vom Faß im Biergarten „Republik Frank und frei“, Berlin. - Goldgelb, klar. - Geruch mild aber mit dem spröden Charme des trocken-würzigen Spalter Hopfens. - Auch im Antrunk trockene, grasig-krautige Hopfenwürze, wenn auch sehr mild. Noten von Petersilie. Blasses Malz, aber schön trocken, nicht süß; etwas Butter. Mild rezent. Schwach bitterer Abgang; kurzer, trockener Nachtrunk. - Etwas untypisches Helles, das die aromatischen Vorzüge des Spalter Hopfens so gut zur Geltung bringt, wie das im Rahmen eines Hellen überhaupt möglich ist, im ganzen aber zu mild bleibt.

Bottle, from trade with Maria. It pours a clear, pale golden body and a nice, white head leaving lacings. The aroma has some fruityness, and a good dash of pale malts mash. It has a distinct flavor of cooked vegetables, along with a nice grassy and piney bitterness and some pale malts. Medium body, quite dry. A quite decent beer, tasteful, quenching and pleasant, but there’s a touch of dms I don’t appreciate. 110722
