Langhalsschnappfläschle (…mit Dank am See!): Clear golden, medium-sized and quite stable white head, dryish grassy-bitter hoppy nose, grainy traces underneath; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied with a well detectable malty base; lingering bitter and pale-malty finish. Quite poor aroma, but all in all a pretty tasty Pils…

Bottle at the brewpub, 07/02/15. Clear light golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is pale malt, straw, lemon rind, light caramel. Taste is s touch bland, lemon, straw, faint bread notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Clean pils but a touch on the bland side.

33cl bottle that states simply “Pils” and doesn’t look like either picture on the ratebeer beer’s page. It pours with a crystal clear gold body that supports a semi creamy thin white head of foam. The aroma offers up malt sweetened bready doughy lime citrus notes as well as a bit of spicy, herbal and floral hops. The taste begins neutral with a murmur of malt sweetness and then it builds in hops and hop bitterness where I’m getting spicy hops, herbal hops and green earthy bitter lime like notes. It plateaus out for a moment heading into the finish as it gets a little softer and picks up a slight grainy malt sensation. It ends with lingering thin malty sweet bitter hops as well as a faint mineral note. Decent.

Bottle looks very simple but okay. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts malty, mild, a bit metallically, not very dry. Finish again milder, almost washy. Nothing special. --- Beer merged from original tick of Schussenrieder Ott Pils on 22 Jun 2020 at 19:52 - Score: Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6. Original review text: Huge thanks to quack-duck for that one! Bottle looks very simple. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts mild, malty, some herbal hints, modest spicy. Finish more metallical, still some herbal hints. Quite drinkable. Okay.

330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grassy hop aroma, grainy and slightly strawy background, a touch of peanut curls. Taste is initially minimally sweet pale malty, cautiously fruity, hoppy middle part, bitter hoppy finish, again a touch of peanut curls.
