0.33 l bottle from 'SpeciaalBierPakket.nl', best before February 2032. Hazy, very dark ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity and a little yeasty aroma of caramel, molasses, dates, figs and some vanilla. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity, slightly roasty and a bit yeasty taste of caramel, molasses, chocolate, dates, figs, raisins and some licorice, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not your typical Quad, but very pleasant and quite complex nevertheless, and much better than their Tripel.

330ml bottle from Hoppy Craft, St Omer. Pours a deep mahogany brown, beige head. Aroma of rich toffee, candy rock, yeast, continuing to taste with a full, rich and satisfying dark sweetness, some dried dark fruits, smooth and inviting. After trying their disappointing blonde and tripel, this delivers.

33cl bottle from AbeerVinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours intense brown, with some brown foam in the beginning, and nothing left later. Aroma is intense of caramel and malty, slight chestnut and nutty as well. The alcoholic feeling is immediate and notable. Body is average, a little sticky, with moderate carbonation. Taste is quite sweet, although partially moderated by some bitterness. Final is still intense, and pretty long.
