Bottle shared. Opaque black color, small brown lacing. Aroma is sweet dark sugary, perhaps maple. Flavor is initially.very sweet as well, but with a coffee sourish roasty finish. Hmm not a fan of these beers, too heavy and mix of cloying sweetness with coffee sourness, nah not my thing. 8-4-6-8-6

Bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a pitch black with a finger of brown head that lingers. Big bourbon focused nose with oak, milk chocolate and dark chocolate, but also notes of prune and fig with some molasses. Palate is more of the same with warming bourbon, oak, dark fruit and loads of chocolate. Drying finish, but with dark fruit and chocolate underneath. This year's vintage just slays.
