Can. Pours a milky white with no head but plenty of visible carbonation. Aroma has a sweet rice note with some straw and a hint of biscuit. Flavor has sweet, slightly creamy rice with cookie and a hint of biscuit.

South Korea - loved seeing them play a part in knocking Germany out (again), but not much else to speak for. The beer is kind of funky - the flavored variants are a lot better. Kind of dry apple flavor and quite alcoholic aftertaste.

355ml can. Pours an opaque off-white with a thin, foamy, short lived, white head that fully dissipates. (Looks like watery milk). Sweet aroma of rice, tart apple and funky yeast. Sweet flavour of rice, sugar, vanilla, funky yeast, alcohol and faint banana in a sweet finish. Light to medium body with a smooth, syrupy texture and soft carbonation. Unique and interesting, but a little too sweet for me.

Not a clue what I’m getting into here. The label said Korean rice beer, but whereas I was expecting something akin to a craft rice lager, what I got is this milky-white beverage before me. Sake-ish, except very sweet, tasting of rice and sugar and not offering any of the tartness mentioned in the description. Just sweet and mildly carbonated. Maybe it’s good for what it’s supposed to be? No fucking idea.
