Aromas are malt with a little bit of orange. Flavors are similar to nose, bittersweet but without the natural blood orange tart. Drinkable but nothing special.

Let me count the varieties of voodoo ranger, its a quadzillion! New bell found a single hit and made a million greenbacks on em. I'm so sick of these things, but I get them from friends who say have you tried this ne yet? and I always reply, why try it? They all taste the same; straight up bitter ass bastardly bullshit. Well at least it got an alky kick that may give me a small vacation of the brain cells. Pop the lid and I'm not sure if my nose picks up any orange, maybe just a hint, but mostly its simple high octane hop perfume. Eye is slight haze on an otherwise pale brew. First taste is what else? Its just as I suspected; one big bitter straight up ass brew, just like all the rest of the numerous rangers. One thing tho, I think I do get just a hint of something orange in there if you really search for it, but its dramatically muted by the negative nellie bitter hops. Yea, same old song and dance SOS. Anyway, there, you have it. You like IPA? If you haven't already had enough of these VD ranger, I guess you gottah try this one too.

On tap at Up Down Minneapolis. Pours a near clear light orange with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet and slightly bitter citrus with a bit of rind and some sweet grain backing. Flavor is similar with light grains, light citrus some blood orange and a hint of rind in the finish.

Hazy pinkish orange pour with a lingering white head. This mainly smells of OJ. The flavor is sweet and full of oranges to the point that it’s odd to call it an IPA if any sort. Are they just slapping “voodoo ranger” on everything now? Some hops came out as it warmed, adding some resinous flavor and a little bitterness. I though the OJ and IPA worked pretty well with their “Juice Force” beer, but not so well here.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a hazy orange with a slight pinkish hue and a full two fingers of foam. Tangerine and mikan on the nose with some light blood orange notes. Similar palate, not overly pithy or bitter. Smooth and very citrus fruit focused. Similar to Oberon, but not as dry maybe.

Keg at the Asheville location, 4/24/23. Hazy orange, medium white head, good retention. Aroma of orange, pale malt. Taste is sweet orange, pale malt. Low bitterness. Juicy. Kinda meh, especially for something atomic.
