Lige siden 1984 har denne gyldne eksport-øl været en af favoritterne fra Thisted Bryghus' store sortiment. Hemmeligheden er den håndplukkede porse fra Nationalpark Thy, som erstatter en del af humlens bitterstoffer, og giver en rund og dejlig smag til denne klassiker.
Porse Guld er i øvrigt mange unges ”national-øl” i Thy.
Porseplukning foregår hvert år i august måned, og er en begivenhed, der trækker mange folk til fra både nær og fjern.

Bottle, trade with yespr, thank you. The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Very nice head. Tastes a bit washy, only the finish is a bit drier, somehow too "hard". Only average!

Bottled. Pale yellowish golden colour with big white head, that disappears in a while though. Aroma is is quite malty, with some notes of hops and mild fruityness. Flavour is malts, hops and some earthyness. Mild metallic sweetness.

(33cl bottle, courtesy of Hildigöltur & Dixen) Clear, pale golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Sweet malty, slightly grainy nose with a sourish fruity notes, metallic hops and that distinctively spicy touch, which must be the bog myrtle. Bitter flavour, pretty light body impression with a lightly fizzy carbonation. Malty, grainy taste with a subtle fruitiness in the wings and bitter-spicy notes; a light malty sweetness shines through during the finish, which has also a moderate hoppy touch.

33 cL bottle. Pours golden yellow to orange with a huge white head. Sweet malty aroma with a minor note of something I cannot describe (porse perhaps). Sweet flavoured with an off-note I assume must be porse. Mild finish, no real bitterness.

Clear golden color, short head. Aroma is grassy, metallic, some hop. What’s spice/herb/vegetable about this? At least it taste just like your ordinary german pilsener.

(33 cl bottle purchased in Denmark) Clear pale yellow color, big white head. Acidic and sweet malty scent with alcohol. Sweet, malty and a bit metallic taste. Also some alcohol. Big metallic dominating afteraste. A bit thin mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

Bottle. Frothy white good dark yellow colour. Moderate malæty light hoppy aroma. Light bitter flavor. Warmbitterness a bit diffrent from hopps. Pily palate. Actually a nice beer.

See through golden with white head. Grassy and malty aroma. little sweetness at first. Bitter taste, Myrtle appears. For me quite unpleasant! Watery palate! Doesnt cut it for me!

Bootle. Clear golden body, fast disappearing head. Aroma is hoppy and something I haven’t smelled before, the book says myrtle. Flavor is very sweet again with a note the myrtle. A quite heavy tasting pilsner.
