GBBF Day 4. Keg. Bright clear paleish gold beer, thin cream colour head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Dry clean pale malts. Light floralness. Mild citrus, very mild. Touch of bitterness on the crisp finish. Clean.

Pours clear golden with a good white head. Aroma is grass, malt, corn. Taste is medium bitter, malt , grass.

Draught at Zur Sonne, Berger Strasse, Frankfurt
To be honest, considering German accuracy for beer and menus (or the lack of it), I’m not sure about this one being really the Pils, but they tell me so.
Blond color, clear and pale, with compact head. The aroma has light malt and light straws, sweet. Soft mouthfeel, with sweetish and hay-ish malt flavor. Ordinary bitterness. Correctly brewed, but no thrills.

Bright yellow colour, thick head. Stale aroma with corn. Flavour is rather light and stale with grainy malt and hints of butter. Boring.

Herb-süßer Antrunk, in dem besonders das helle Malz hervorkommt. Es ist honig-süß, ausgeglichen durch die Herbe. Es ergibt sich so eine angenehme Würzigkeit, die weniger einem Pils als einem fränkischen Lager gleicht. Dabei ist auch der Hopfen erwähnenswert, der das Bier im Mittelteil aktiv unterstützt und zum Teil auch taktgebend ist. Hopfig-würziger Abgang mit feiner Bitterkeit, zuerst untertönig, später offensichtlicher. Überraschend gut! 11/12/11/8/12

bottle, as Pilsner feinherb. Clear pale golden yellow, small white head. Hoppy nose. Robust malty base with hints of nuts (hazelnut). Resiny-grassy hops, lingering finish. Very nice!

Bottle @ Bamberg. Pours clear golden with a small creamy white head and lacings. Lovely crisp and dry hoppy flavor. Hay and grass. Smooth and overall a tasty pils.

Clear golden with a medium white head. Malty aroma with grassy hops. Quite malty flavour with caramel and grassy hops. Finished bitter. Quite full. Lovely.

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Clear straw colour, firm airy head. Distinct grassy nose. Dry and crisp with slim grainy malt and spicy grassy hops turning into resiny bitterness. A solid pils with no fuzzing about.
