-1 point for the silly wax that even bothered the barman. Crystal clear red copper beer. Overwhelming nose of alcohol & fusels, preserved orange, old hops, and a bitter component. Not overly sweet, if very alcoholic. Brandy, Mandarine Napoléon - again without the syrupy overload - but there floats a sense of adjunct-extract. Something of special bread with a finish of bitterish breadcrust. Sticky, almost chewy, not very carbonated. Special beer indeed - not too sweet, but in itself not really outstanding in its category - the art of experience?
