Bottle from Kaufland in Kaufbeuren. Color: Clear dark orangish brown, very light brown head. Aroma: Malty, caramel and chocolate hints. Taste: Malty, notes of caramel and some chocolate. Hoppy backgound. Moderate sweet, light bitterness. Medium body, below average carbonation. Ok.

Brown with a creamy, light beige head that lingers. Aroma is fairly dank with cereals and and caramel underneath. After some time, a bit of chocolate, but the moldy dankness keeps this one from really being a sniffer. Taste is mildly bitter up front, moderate bitter at the back with a crisp, clean finish. Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation. Decent Dunkel.

Ustersbacher Altbayerisch Dunkel, jetzt mit 5,6 %, Flasche von Getränke Appel, Moosburg. - Dunkles Kupferrot, klar. (25.6.2022.)

500 ml bottle. Pours dark brown with a foamy head. Lots of chocolate, roasted malt, dry citrus notes, some caramel, grassy hops. Malty sweetness, toasty hoppy bitterness. Medium to full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry malty bittersweet finish. Really nice flavorful Dunkles, even Stout-like! Seems they have changed the recipe from 2020 given that has now 5.6 abv.

0,5 l bottle from Bierzwerg, Greven. Clear dark red golden in the glass with a three finger frothy beige head. Looks really good. Low malty smell with some fruity elements. Taste istdark malty, toasted, choco, fruity in the background. Smooth and slick. Really nice one.

Sugary apple syrup aroma. Caramelly sweet flavor with a touch of bitterness, especially in the aftertaste. Not my favorite dunkel.

Clear dark brown with little beige head. Aroma is some dried figs and nuts but also ash. Taste is much ash sourness, some sweetness and normal tartness. Somewhat much carbonation, not smooth at all. Bad.

50 cl bottle, rated on 19.10.2010
Brown-orange colour, thick and disappearing head. Aroma has rye bread and malt. Flavour is rather light with malt. A bit thin palate. Too light stuff for a dunkel.
