Pours black, no real head. Scent is heavy on the plum, quite syrupy. Taste is sharp, plum, oak, acidic bite from the plums. Oaky, syrupy, boozy. Very exhausting.

10/XI/23 - on tap @ Billies Craft Beer Festival (Antwerp), Day 1 - part 1, BB: n/a (2023-932) Thanks to NathanVC for sharing today’s beers!

Clear dark purple brown beer, creamy beige head, a little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: oxidized, soft roast, lots of dried fruits, sourish impression, pretty floral, soft roast, some coffee. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: surprisingly sour start, pretty roasted, sugary, some caramel, oxidized, a hint of vanilla. Aftertaste: more oxidation, a bit fruity, alcohol, sourish finish, ok beer.

Mörkbrun med ett litet skum. Doft av lönnsirap, torkade plommon och choklad. Mycket söt och fyllig smak av lönnsirap, choklad, plommon, russin och Madeira. Värmande. Ett öl att smutta på.

Dark brown. Murky. Thin head, in a stemmed Temporal goblet. Aroma is definitely different. The plum is a weird accent here, and the base is this heavy toffee BW, almost munichwine, but it's more that plum that seems like fermentation from homemade kimchee you put in the back of the fridge three years ago. Like you know it should be fermented, but it smells a little too fermented. On the palate it makes more sense, or at least it doesn't seem flawed. It's got a rich malt base, yes, caramel and toffee, relatively low bitterness. The plum and slivovica accents are okay but don't connect with me.

Pretty solid beer. Not their best, a bit too much fruited junk lingering around. Strong and boozy. Malz leaven
