Bottle split at Craft Beer Junction, thanks to Danny Boyo, 18/10/23. Black with a moderately presented tan head. Nose is chocolate, molasses, toffee fudge, booze fumes. Taste comprises molasses, hint of soy sauce, dried fruit rinds, chocolate, figs, mellow roast, touch of barrel. Full bodied, oily mouthfeel, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Tidy impy but lacking barrel presence for me.

Bottle shared in London - cheers to Dan. Pours deep brown with a foamy, tan head. Big sweet flavour, lots of dried dark fruits, dates, figs, raisins, chocolate. Full bodied, oily and lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, rich dark malts. Very tasty.
