Bottle from MoritzF. Vague caramelly aroma. Sweet, grainy, caramelly flavor. Slightly nutty. Blandish and onedimensional, but I really can’t complain about the flavor.

0,33 l bottle from Rücker, Lengerich. Clear dark copper in the glass with a small head. Smells malty grassy. Taste starts malty grainy, nearaly like a Pilsener, later increasing malty. Metallic hints. Okay.

Bottle from Bier-Advent Kalender, Switzerland
Amber color, clean, with generous compact head. Delicate malt aroma, clean flavor, with some caramel, clean palate. Nothing crazy here, but it’s a graceful Vienna.

* Old rating, 0,33l bottle, best before 4.04.

Test vom 15.2.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,9,9,10,11,9 - 9,15

(330ml bottle) Clear slightly reddish amber colour with a nice foamy off-white medium head with lace. Slightly toasted and sweet malty nose with notes of hops in the background. Moderately sweet and slightly toasted malty taste, light to medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel; medium dry, light bitter finish with toasted malt and traces of hops. Decent Vienna lager which could be a bit stronger and hoppier.

Bottle: Light amber coloured, small, firm off-white head; slightly sweetish-malty nose, a bit caramelly with traces of toasted malt and a touch of hops; mild sweetish-bitter flavour, soft MF; malty finish with a lingering aromatic bitterness coming late. O.K. and pleasant, quite well balanced.................
