(swing top bottle) Clear straw golden colour with a fluffy foamy white head, leaving some lace. Slightly dusty and sweet malty nose with herbal and spicy hops. Very tasty and moderately sweet malty taste initially with a soft but balanced herbal hoppy note getting stronger towards the medium dry finish, which is a bit (ethereally) spicy and has an almost perfectly balanced bitterness with a dense note of caramel in the aftertaste. An outstanding Pilsener, more than ever for the Sauerland region.

Swing-top bottle (bought at the brewery): Clear, golden, bigger almost rocky white head, long lasting, visible carbonation;sweet pale malty nose with aromatic noble hops and without any trace of cardboard; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; long bitter-aromatic-sweet finish. A very fine Pils, that could have been brewed in Bohemia......A real gem, compared to the beers brewed just around the corner in the neighbourhood: Veltins (gulp!) and Warsteiner ( cough...)........
