440 ml can, as BrewDog Black Heart Draught Stout. ABV is 4.1%. Black colour, small but lasting beige nitro head. Pleasant aroma of roast malts, mild coffee and chocolate. The flavour has the same elements, the finish is fairly dry and bland.

Can from Tesco. Black body with a tight beige head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate, Twiglets and charred wood. Flavour of creamy malt and burnt toast. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Compared to Guinness, this has slightly more flavour but the body feels thinner. Lots of breweries are releasing nitro stouts (many available in supermarkets) but all are around 4.0% ABV. A mid-strength or imperial strength nitro stout would be a good point of difference, and I’d be more inclined to buy it.

Un territorio olfattivo dominato dal caffè e dal cioccolato. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera elevata, permanendo in maniera sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma color beige ha una buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana fine. Il colore è nero come la pece. Il corpo è pieno. Il dolce è medio in buona armonia con l'amaro medio. La forza gustativa è elevata. La continuità gustativa è buona. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. Sulla lingua si attestano impressioni di miele, cioccolato, caffè, liquirizia, frutta secca e agrumi.
