“Frozen bananas? Sure, we can make a beer like that!”
We’re not sure how that conversation at the brewery started, but we sure know how it ended – with Rollerama Chocolate Banana Porter.
Rollerama features Omega's Bananza yeast, which radiates ripe banana fruit notes similar to the classic hefeweizen yeast strain, without those pesky clove phenolics that drive some people, well, bananas...
With a little cocoa, a little banana puree and a unique blend of five Canadian malts, the result is weirdly alluring and strangely delicious. Unlike a real frozen banana, this beer is subtly nuanced, perfectly balanced and you can easily drink more than one. Sorry Bluths.

473ml can. Pours a clear red brown with a small, foamy, short lived, beige head that laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, banana and floral hops. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, brown sugar, earth and banana in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light to medium body with a sticky, syrupy texture and soft carbonation. A little sweet, but not bad. Couldn't drink more than one.
