Get sidetracked with the detour de force of a stout. Brewed with locally roasted Phil & Sebastian espresso beans sourced from a sky-high Guatemala growing region, Convenient Detour Espresso Stout is a rich, compelling, caffeinated beer that drinks like a meal.
A combination of chocolate and crystal malts were brewed to build body in this stout. It's thicker than our previous P&S coffee stouts and contains lactose for a touch of sweetness and a smooth mouthfeel. Over 40 pounds of coffee was steeped in 200L of water to give this beer a jolt.

473ml can. Pours a clear dark brown, almost black with red hue and a small, foamy, short lived, tan head that laces. Aroma of roasted malt, espresso, dark chocolate and earth. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, lactose, dark chocolate, espresso and faint raisin in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light to medium body with a sticky, oily texture and soft carbonation. Tasty and easy to drink.
