Smoked chocolate malt, pine, and grapefruit peel aroma. Dark brown with small head. Moderately sweet smoked chocolate malt, and moderately bitter grapefruit peel flavor. Good body.

Sample at the taproom for Cincinnati Beer Week on 06/23/2017. No indication of what "version", but listed at 6.8%. Cloudy dark brown color with a medium thick foamy khaki head that diminishes gradually to a film. Patches of lacing. Aroma of roast malt, pine and hops. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, roasted malt and a bit of citrus. The finish is malty up front with a piney hop aftertaste. Decent overall.
