Bottle. Kruidnagel aroma. Nutmeg. Herbal bitter flavor with laurel and nutmeg. Dry with some roasted malt. Very untypical bock, but certainly has quality.

Backlog. On tap @ In De Wildeman late 2004. Dark brown color. Aroma’s: sweet, caramel and something off (stinky even) . Flavor is medium sweet, roasted. Medium bodied. Bitter finish. Pity about the aroma, but this tap version was still OK - a bottle version I had sometime later was really bad...

(Bottle 33 cl) Reddish brown, clear and presumably filtered. Light brown cappuchino-like head. Dark and malty with a distinct, dry bitterness. But actually this is more sour than bitter, which is very odd for a Doppelbock. We’re almost talking Flemish Sour territory here. Very interesting brew. 261104

An opaque brown beer with a small brown head. The aroma is sweet and sour with notes of yeast and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, cinnamon, and spices.

Clear orange color, short head. Slightly sour aroma, fruity, sweet. Bit homebrew like taste, bit spicy and malty. Odd brew.
