The Kölsch style comes from the area around Cologne and is a pilsner/ale hybrid with pale malts like a pilsner but brewed with ale yeast. It produces a fresh, easy to drink beer with notes of banana and cloves from the yeast and floral and fruity notes from the German Hersbrucker hops.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Almost clear deep golden mid sized head. Bready nose with some hay. Mid sweet with light to medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Floral hay and gentle bready malt. Mid bitter finish. Pleasant.

ABV: 5.5%. Light light cloudy - hazy medium yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, cereal, pale malt, wheat, cardboard. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration, fruity malt, pale malt, sweet malt, cardboard - bread, hops bitter, hops extract. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20230313]
