Samuel Adams Hefeweizen has a traditional spin on a classic American craft brewing style. This crisp, fruity wheat ale is cloudy, because the yeast has not been filtered out. Bavarian Spalt hops give the ale a crisp elegance, that is not bitter and leaves a clean aftertaste. Cheers!

Yeasty aroma of grain, mushrooms, and apple.Cloudy golden, thin white head. Bitter and yeasty, it tastes as it smells. It leaves a lot of grain on the palate. These american wheat beers parading as hefeweizens are awful.

12 oz bottle. Pours unfiltered orange with a creamy white head. Wheaty aroma, slight caramel note. Soft mouthfeel. Not that wheaty or fruity in the flavour rather malty. Mild malty finish.

Poured classic hazy straw to orange color with decent off white head. Good hefe aroma with sweet malts, grain malts, bits of wheat and some yeast notes hidden too far in the background for the style. The flavor is mostly grainy malts that seem more like corn flakes. Not really a hefe trait that I know of. It also has the malt sweetness and wheat notes just as advertised in the aroma. OK tasting beer.

Creamy pour. An off white mild yellow cloudy appearance. Tasted as good as any other hefeweizen, but certainly american in nature. Better than Penn’s. Not bitter on the finish.

Cloudy orange to amber body with a medium frothy off-white head. Sweet caramel and light banana aroma. Sweet caramel flavor, some light apple and a hint of banana. Not quite the hefeweizen Ii was expecting.

12 oz bottle. Hazy orange body with medium body. Harmonic, but a bit to commercial for my taste. Lacks some of the ingredients I prefer in my wheat beer, but still a refreshing beer.

Nice that Sam Adams tries to brew different styles of beer, but to call this a hefeweizen? It looks like a weizen, cloudy golden color, medium white head. Aroma: where is the banana? It’s more hop and some wheat, like a blond beer. Taste is not sweet, citrus and banana, thick like a weizen, but it’s thin, watery, bit bitter. Not a bad beer, although rather thin, but it doesn’t even come close to a weizen. Too bad.

Pours an orangish yellow with thick off white head. Has a bitter spicy aroma, along with taste. Very smooth beer for a hefe!

Cloudy gold-amber with a small white head. Malty wheat aroma with a hint of citrus. Citrus and a banana hint join with the malt flavor.

Pretty standard hefeweizen. Not too bad, nothing special though. Orange flavor, other fruit flavor in addition.
