Tap at Eulenspiel in Bamberg Orange-brown, glowing, with a tall, fine, airy head. Clear. Rich Munich malt nose, caramel, stone fruits, raisins. Slightly roasty and crusty flavor, cocoa, raisin, dry finish. A bit roasty, with oranges, earthy hops. Light to medium body. Smooth, low carbonation. Prickly hop finish. Solid if rather unexciting. Dry and drinkable. Really more a Landbier / Kellerbier than a dunkel.

Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Clear dark amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and hay. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Light dry finish. 310315

Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus, 4.9%. Clear dark brown with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, bread, hop, little nut and a little chocolate. Flavour is malt, carmel, little chocolate, medium sweet, bread, hop, notes of metal and a little bitter.

Draught @ Fermentoren, Århus. Pours dark amber with a offwhite head. Aroma of light malt, grain, roast, little caramel, hay. Flavor is light sweet, malt, grain, caramel, hay, light cardboard notes. Medium body, average carbonation. 280315

Bottle looks simple but okay. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, fine malty, more and more spicy, some earthy-roasty notes. Finish more dry. Quite drinkable. Not bad!

Bierprobe vom fass at Winterbauer-Keller, (Den Kellern 7) Kellerwald. Firm beige head leaving spotty lacing behind. Crystal clear brown body colour. Mild brown malts on the nose. Hints of nuts, dried fruits and caramel to the taste profile. Slightly roasted. Well rounded on the palate (Forchheim 11.10.2014).

Fra fat på Winterkeller, Forchheim 11 Okt 14. Mørk gyldenbrun. Lavt skum. God karamellaroma. Smaken også karamell. Litt malt i ettersmaken.

Bottle at Hopfen & Malz. Dark brown with an off white head. Aroma is spicy caramel. Flavour is sweet malt, biscuit on a spicy toffee finish.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkelbraunes Bier mit geringer aber schönen Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, Karamell, minimal würzig. Geschmack angenehm röstmalzig, würzig, gering schokoladig.

Bamberg jolly day 2. 25/01/2014. Bottle shared outside the brewery tap. Coloure is dark orange / brown with a halo of greyish head. Aroma is nice caramel, brown malts, mineral. Flavour is fresh rich nutty/ caramel / toffee malts. Malts is nice and distinct. Some light raisin and clean ferment. Solid Dunkel.
