This traditional lager is medium in body with a deep roasted character. Its dark color and rich malty flavor come from specially roasted caramel and chocolate malts. This brew is lightly hopped with Noble Bavarian hops for a soft spiciness and a smooth clean finish. Cheers!

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Opaque pitch black color, small beige head. Smell malts, dark malts, some roastyness, lightly smoked and earthy. Taste malts, lightly iron, earth, dark malts, some roastyness, a touch of liquorice and some sweet-bitter finish. Not bad at all, quite nice indeed. Medium body and carbonation.

Bottle from Irma in Copenhagen - Almost Black in colour with a healthy beige head. Strong caramel malts with interesting hop profile which gives a slight spiciness on the palate. Pretty good, almost a Black IPA in taste. Pretty decent.

Clear black colour with a red hue. Beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, caramel, but all quite light, lighter than in a stout for example. Sweet malty flavour, some light roasted notes, light bitterness. Quite thin, light body. Finish chocolate and coffee.

Bottle. Chocolate malt aroma. Clear brown with a moderate tan head. Roasty chocolate malt flavor. Medium carbonated body. Not what I was expecting in a schwazbier, but I like it.

35,5 cl bottle @ Viking Line Pub. Rated on 13.05.2011
Aroma has some roastiness, chocolate, coffee and hints of metal. Flavour has chocolate, some coffee and roasted malt. Not the most typical schwartz, but good. I like the chocolate here. (7-3-7-3-14)
35,5 cl bottle @ hotel room, copenhagen
Aroma is rather malty with some chocolate and hints of metal β feels like a (doppel)bock. Flavour has roasted malt with chocolate and some nuts. Good, although the slight metallic savor disturbs a bit here. Could be a dunkler bock as well. (7-3-6-3-14)
