Pouring a hazy, orange juice-colored golden yellow, Trailside is a fine-tuned take on the classic citrus-meets-tropical Trillium profile. Keeping an eye toward new possibilities with Strata, while retaining the core elements of what works best in Citra, the aroma is a stunning display of smile-inducing hop saturation. Fresh-peeled clementine, tangelo, and candied Meyer lemon notes are complemented by overripe pineapple, mango nectar, and fuzzy peach. Its juice-forward, no doubt; but an underlying ruby red grapefruit bitterness keeps us reaching back for more. Characteristically soft and palate-coating, we hope you enjoy Trailside while exploring the beauty of Blue Hills and beyond.

Can at home from Kihoskh 23/07/2023 Vibrant fruity with hits of pineapple and grapefruit, grassy and slightly herbaceous tones, touch of strata induced berry, soft sweet malty support with a piney balanced bitter close. Works well, lovely.

Citrusy and tropical fruity, minimally piney and woody, hoppy aroma, pale and slightly wheat malty background, notes of lemon, orange, mandarine, passion fruit, mango, some pineapple, melon, lychee. Taste is citrusy and tropical fruity hoppy, pale and wheat malty basis with low residual sweetness, moderate, slightly zesty hop bitterness, notes of lemon, orange, mandarine, some pine, pineapple, melon. Oily-watery texture, dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Well balanced, very nice, clean and foccussed fruit flavours

On tap at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours a cloudy / murky pale orange with a sizeable white head and good lacing. Tropical fruits are the mainstay of the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet but with some sharp undertones. Flavour is mainly tropical fruits – pineapple, mango, lychee and tangerine. Hints of ginger there as well. Finish is a bit juicy. This is pretty good – hides it’s strength well. Not sure it’s worth the horrendous price I paid for it though !

Tap at mad Squirrel watford. A hazed golden orange coloured pour with a lasting sticky white head. Aroma is woody citrus, bark, weed, piney hop, hint of caramel. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty biscuit malts, caramel, sticky piney hop, grass,. Ok. Well rounded but no wow whatsoever. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, moderate carbonation,

Pint can (canned last month) from St Albans beer shop, St Albans, Herts. A hazy golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, orange, grapefruit, peach, tropical fruit taste and aroma. Not overly complex and a bit thin but a decent enough effort from Trillium.
