Pouring a hazy, orange juice-colored golden yellow, Trailside is a fine-tuned take on the classic citrus-meets-tropical Trillium profile. Keeping an eye toward new possibilities with Strata, while retaining the core elements of what works best in Citra, the aroma is a stunning display of smile-inducing hop saturation. Fresh-peeled clementine, tangelo, and candied Meyer lemon notes are complemented by overripe pineapple, mango nectar, and fuzzy peach. Its juice-forward, no doubt; but an underlying ruby red grapefruit bitterness keeps us reaching back for more. Characteristically soft and palate-coating, we hope you enjoy Trailside while exploring the beauty of Blue Hills and beyond.

Keg at Ghost Whale Putney. Wonderful to find it in the UK. Citrus peel and a little bit of mint in the aroma. Perfectly gorgeous hop-laden taste. Pink grapefruit, satsuma. Leading to a zesty finish. Carbonation on the heavy side. Fairly simple and at the same time a lot going on. Yes please.

Goblet pours a murky yellow with a ring of white head. Zippy nose, citrus and grass, some soap, mild tropicals. This is a murky west coast, grapefruit and lemon curd, soap and herbs, even some pine. Looks like a hazy but drinks like a west coast or a super old school east coast. Dry, bitter finish.

Long time no Trillium. Juicy, stingy hoppy and citrusy with some pine, grapefruit and tangerine. Sweetish.

Can. Opaque brownish orange with a modest white head. Aroma of vague citrus, some brooding pineapple, menthol, herbs. Almost watery yet a bit chalky. Very light somewhat chewed crackery malt, vague citrus, pineapple. Enough bitterness (and about the same astringency) to make a cleansing finish.

From a 473ml can on 4/3/2023. Pours a hazy deep golden with a smallish head. Has a light citrus fruit nose. Mainly orange lemon and some light tropical and honeyed notes on the sip, followed by a light spicy bitterness at the back. Silky mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Very solid though not particularly special, and pretty restrained all things considered. The first batch of Trillium gear I've found has been horrendously expensive - this was around $25 for the can, and so definitely not a value proposition in Oz.

Pours a hazy, lemonade color, with minimal head. Aroma is a rather muted combo of citrus and tropical fruit. Flavor is citrus and tropical fruit, with some upfront hop bitterness. Soft, smooth mouthfeel. I like it.
