A dark and heavy ale - the strongest that the brewery has ever produced - in which three varieties of malt and two spices are utilised. It is brewed "in honour of" the Burgundian Babble Belt, a well known web-site on the Internet, where beer lovers can exchange all sorts of information.

Vibrant but hazy brick colour. Good head retention for such strength. Aroma of plum, tomato. It has a warm that is almost physical, like a wood oven. Alcohol, yeast notes come on strong on the palate. Warm malts - bread crust, date - fit into the mix. Light for its size.

Dark orange. Slight white head. Vinegary nose, spicey, malts & honey-like (strange, no honey added on this). Sweet taste. With a punch - a good one. The aftertaste is peppery-spicey - but whether this IS valerian and lemon balm, I don't drink enough pharmaceutical concoctions to decide that. This is nice, anyway. Very rich mouthfeel. Spicyness keeps going on. Amazing, interesting, but the bed has to be near.
