Flere ganger fra fat på Nørrebro Bryghus: første gang jeg prøvde den i bakhagen i juni-06 ble jeg hekta og siden har den vært et fast innslag på mine ølrunder i Dronningens by. Bare MÅ ha den. Humlehoder liker dette, men vitamininnholdet på 9,5% tilsier at den desidert ikke bør kveldens første.

From tap at CBF 2011. Cloudy, dark orange/amber colour, off-white head. Aroma is sweet and fruity, some floral notes, alcohol is also present, but in a nice, warming way. Flavor is much sweeter than expected, fruit, some caramel, and alcohol. Long lasting bitterness in the finish. A sweeter interpretation of the DIPA-style. A very níce beer, trough.

Clear dark amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, alcoholic and very hoppy - flowers. Flavor is quite sweet and extremely bitter. Dry and long lasting bitter finish. Nice, though not really balanced. 060510

Sells itself as an Imperial IPA but balanced by intense maltyness! Cloudy chocolate coloured beer with a biscuit coloured head. Doesn’t seem like an Imperial IPA! More like a barleywine/Scotch ale hybrid. There is the richness of barleywine along with the briney hops but also the soft chocolate of a Scotch ale. Interesting!

A reddish brown ale with a thin reddish moka head. In aroma, herbaceous hops, vinous notes, raisins, very barley wine like, with smooth notes of alcohol and seaweed iodine. In mouth, a classic barley wine with smooth resinous hops, tobacco malts, quite nice and superbly balanced. Wow! Bieropholie import. Jan 1 2011.

Bottle that Jan & Charlotte passed to me at Essen, Kerstbier, Belgique, consumed 25.12.10 Pours hazy dark golden with small off-white head. Very soft in the mouth, lovely hoppy nose, big body & full flavoured with grapefruit infused with a floralness, really floral in taste. There is also an exotic tropical fruitiness flooding through. Good beer. A7 A3 T8 P4 Ov16 3.8

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Starts very hoppy and fresh, modest alcoholic, the finish drier and also bitter. Not bad! Thanks to HenrikSoegaard for this bottle!

EBF 2008. Deep, amber brown color. Piney, strawberries in the nose. Sweet caramel backbone, fruity, strawberries, bready mouth. Moderately bitter finish. Excellent balance, well rounded and highly enjoyable.

Brown bottle, 50 cl, via Importations Privées Bièropholie, savoured on February 23 2009; eye: caramel with golden reflections, hazy, no effervescence, tan head that turns into a thick carpet, lots of lacing; nose: lots of resinous hops, pine, light malt; mouth: lots of resinous hops, pine, grapefruit, lots of caramelized malt, caramelized orange, finale in resinous hops with presence of caramelized malt, quite bitter, lightly sweet, light astringency, full body, below-average carbonation, grainy texture; overall: quite likable FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 50 cl, via Importations Privées Bièropholie, savourée le 23 février 2009; œil : caramel avec des reflets dorés, voilée, pas d’effervescence, mousse fauve qui se transforme en une épaisse couverture, beaucoup de dentelle; nez : beaucoup de houblon résineux, pin, léger malt; bouche : beaucoup de houblon résineux, pin, pamplemousse, pas mal de malt caramélisé, orange caramélisé, finale en houblon résineux avec présence de malt caramélisé, très amère, légèrement sucrée, légère astringence, corsé, carbonatation sous la moyenne, texture granuleuse; en résumé : bien aimé
