Beer no.6 from Papsoe, shared with ozujsko I always wanted to try this one. It poured a beautiful red colour with a medium sized white head that went away slowly. Strong agrumey (lime mostly I guess) nose. Gorgeous lemon-lime hopiness, strong, but not over the top hoppy bitterness. Man, I want to try it fresh even more now. Hah. I’ve tried an IIPA before trying a single IPA. Imagine that. A huge thanks to Henrik for including this in the package.

100ml enjoyed at the Bryghus in Copenhagen early on a Saturday afternoon in a relaxed atmosphere talking to Skinnyviking. Deep dark amber in colour over a thin white head. Rich fruity and floral fragrance. Comprehensive taste with an explosion of hops and spicies that linger into a very nice bitter ending. Full bodied and well-crafted. Heavy stuff - I’ll be back for more on my next visit to Copenhagen(13.01.2007).

Dark golden-amber. Bright. Earthy, sticky nose accented by bright fruity (apricot, plum) and a hint of wood. Traces of alcohol also emerge. Intense bitterness, lots of piney, woody hop. Slightly sticky, but not so much that it detracts from the overall presentation of the brew. Alcohol cuts through a long, resiny bitter finish. Big brew, but with a sense of style and balance. Pretty good.

Draught at brewpub (40 cL). Clear golden brown colour with white head. Fantastic flowery and hoppy smell. Complex taste of primarily hops. Aftertaste kicks in after a few seconds and blows you away - extremely bitter and long lasting - WOW.

Blind tasting of an almost one year old handbottle from tap, same batch as reviewed above, thanks to Papsoe. Pours golden copper, clear, with a lacing head. Heavy hoppy aroma, with a little caramel note. Flavour is heavy hoppy and with nice malt base. Clean hoppy flavour. Decent bitterness, interesting aging. 8-4-8-4-16

From tap at Ølbaren. Pours dark golden orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is solid pinewood hoppy and mild orange to citrusy fruity too. Smoothhopsjuice fruity, nice caramelish and light sticky flavoured. Lovely wooden hops profile coming up from back of the nose. Sweet and solid bitter finish.8-4-9-4-17=4.2

Amber with a white head. Alcohol, port, lemon and tobacco in the aroma. Light sweetness, lots of hops, and a good dose of caramel, bready and roast malt in the flavour. Begins very sharp, then rounded out and finishes with long lasting bitterness.
