Bottle from dkachur, shared @ jbrus’s place. Aroma has grapefruit, is slightly perfumed. Oily hopbitter flavor with grapefruit, pineapple and leaves. Soft but longish grassy hopbitter finish. Good!

Tap at BP Old Towne. Big soapy, pine, orange, grapefruit hop tones. Clean golden malt body. Rather straightforward IPA, but really well executed. Mellow tropical fruit tones.

Sample at the "Beer Tasting on the Front Porch". This brew is a slightly hazy copper color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of piney hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of hops and pine along with notes of citrus and grass. The finish is mildly hoppy with a short malt aftertaste. Above average overall.

Hazy copper, medium head. Aroma was citric with grapefruit and lemon rind. Balanced with a resiny hop over bready and honeyed malts. Balanced easy finish. A bit unrefined, even homebrewish, but drinkable.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Total Wine - Richmond, 7/24/09
Aroma: Citrus & earthy hops, a bit of caramel
Appearance: Pours a a nice clear orange-amber color, 1/2 inch of white head
Flavor: Both sweet and bitter, a nice balanced IPA, nice bitter finish
Palate: Medium to full body, and sort of dry
Overall Impression: I like this one, it is a pretty tasty IPA. You could qualm with this one by saying it doesn't hit all of the styles general qualities, but it is pretty darn tasty. A nice IPA, plus, it has the name of my birth city in it's name, so I can't argue with that! I'm a bit surprised this is rated as low as it is, I thought it was pretty tasty.

Explosive gushing to huge, yellow, dense head over hazy orange beer. C-hops, bit of citruszeste, ureum and bit cheesy. Good C-hops again for flavour, but again a tad cheesy. Light green spring leaves. Very well-carbonated, slick, medium bodied. Very nice IPA, nothing boastful, but quite OK. Big thanks to CK!

Clear deep orange body under a tall, long lasting white head. Fruity, melon aroma. Sharp bitterness, a bit coarse. Needs a bit of balance and smoothness.
