500 mL bottle. Pours dark brown with faint reddish hues and a large tan head. The aroma is dark chocolate, toast, peanuts, black pepper, and some notes of cheese or curds. The flavor is a sweet porter, with some fructose and spiciness. The palate is medium, smooth and a little watery. Overall, a flavorful and complex beer.

(Bottle, 0.5l - batch 309, courtesy of Rune, thanks) The beer poured very dark brown and hazy. Its head was large, dense and light brown. Aroma had roasted malts, coffee and hops. Palate was quite full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, mildly chocolate, coffee, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty, burnt and bitter. This was a little bit too burnt but otherwise quite tasty beer.

On draft @ Sunset Grill and Tap,Allston, MA. Pours dark brown color with a beige head. The aroma is roasty, hints of nuts, smoky feeling, (LIKE A CAMP FIRE). Malty taste with the roasty and smoke notes, medium sweetness. Medium body, creamy feel and soft carbonation. A well put together brew, different in a good way. I would drink this again.

Opaque black beer, not much head. Crisp palate. Feels like a porter but a particularly lively one! Very fruity and tangy. bodering on sour. Sour malt finish with a hint of cola on the back of the tongue. Nice!

Opaque black pour that throws up a frothy tan head that falls into a soapy scum rather quickly. Roast malts come to the nose easily, some raisin and licorice. Rich flavor. Lots of roast malts, just a touch of sweetness. No real hop flavor, just the balance that the bittering provides. Very Nice.

New Beer Distributors 500ml ($8): Pours a near black with a minimal beige head (however, I think that there is a lot of variation in the carbonation of these bottles because mine had almost no carbonation at all, whereas others talk about too much of it). Anyway, a whole lot of chocolate, nuts, and hops in the aroma. Smells pretty good I would say. Nice and full bodied. Good amount of hop bitterness. Tons of roasted malts. Sweet, but not at all cloying. Really nutty flavors. A whole bunch of good stuff, but the mouthfeel might be inconsistent. Pretty good.
