Et mørkt tradisjonelt gårdsøl brygget for høytidene ved norske gårdsbruk. Delikat røykpreg, balansert bitthert og dyp sjokoladesmak. Nissefar er for oss, definisjonen av et norsk juleøl.

Batch#98. Pours deep ruby brown with thin brownish head that becomes still very quickly. Aroma of strong dark fruits - dark cherries, plum - notes of chocolate, with light spicy / peppery nose. Taste is similar to aroma, with strong presence of dark fruits for a sugary mouthfeel. Light malts and chocolate with a light hoppy finish. Sbtle presence of cocoa and light bitter berries. The beer could have used some more carbonation. .

500 mL bottle courtesy of BDR. Thanks Brad! Pours a very, very dark brown. Large head with decent head retention and lacing. Aroma is sour cherry, bandaids, spice and canned pineapple. Taste is sour with slight fruity notes, nutmeg and other spices, slight smoke. Full bodied. Definitely off but still drinkable.

Bottle from Bottle Trek. Batch 169; brewed 08/08. BB 08/10. Opaque brown/black with a huge frothy, creamy tan head. Smells so roasted it suggests stout. Medium body with smoothly creamy carbonation. Flavor is much like a spiced porter. Lots of toasted malt and spice. Some dark fruit. Maybe a touch of barnyard. Tis a really nice ale.

Pours deep black into a snifter. Head quickly recedes to nothing. Soy aromas. Soy upfront turning to licorice and sour earth and a chocolate and pit fruit finish. Similar to a Belgian stout.

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown and with a creamy tan head. Aroma is spiced and subdued chocolate malty. Flavour is quite spiced with a distinct roasted malt and little chocolate smoothness. Ends with a lingering spice note, somewhat acidic.
