On tap at Esbjerg Beerfestival. A crystal clear golden beer with an off-whtie head. Really english on the nose, bread, some crackers, fruit and grassy, citrusy hops. Fruity, citrusy and bready flavor with some bitterness. Dry and full-bodied. A bit low on bitterness in the finish I think. A quite nice one, quite tasteful but maybe not the ideal beer for neither sipping nor sessioning. 091023

Cask gravity at Pig’s Ear BF 09. Haze amber. Definite Belgian yeast on the aroma, esters, fruity. Not sure the yeast goes with the English malts. It’s got a lot of yeast fruit. The yeast character completely dominates it. Drinkable though.

bottle, pours gold with a medium frothy white head. Sugary doughnut aroma. Flavor is nice with sweet pale malts and hay with some wheat notes and a sweet sugary finish.

Butterscotch and lemon aroma. Clear amber, medium white head, very noticeable lack of carbonation, good lacing. Creamy mouthfeel, quite bitter. Starts moderately bitter and somewhat malty. Finishes more bitter with bark and grass notes. It’s 100% beer, with little extraneous flavors. There’s absolutely no mistaking that it is English. Decent, but a little too bitter without character for my taste.

50cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. Gold with a loose white head; fresh, hoppy aroma, hints of grapefruit from the Cascade and some pine resin; crisp, but rather thin, flavour, some biscuity malts and some delicate hops; then building to a robust, spicy, hop finish. Very, very, easy drinking.

Draught at EsBF09. Mild grassy aroma. Clear shiny yellow colour. Small stable creamy white head. The flavour is mildly grassy from the hops. Subtle, but refreshing and good.
