50 cl bottle @ Seinäjoki. BBE 14.10.2017. Aroma has berries and coffee. Flavour has berries, licorice, coffee and berry juice. Mild menthol in the finish. A bit unusual with the fruity berry aromas.

Tämä on 6.5%, mutta nimenomaan Jõuluporter. Uskalsin vaihtaa vahvuuden 7.5->6.5, koska tämä on ainakin tämän syksyn uusia pulloja. Musta olut, jossa todella tiivis ja tiheä, pienikuplainen runsas vaahto. Vaahto katoaa hiljalleen jättäen kivan pitsireunuksen. Oikein kaunis olut kaikkinensa. Tuoksu makean maltainen, jopa luumuinen. Maku makean maltainen, jouluisan marjainen ja toffeinen. Melko täyteläinen, erittäin pehmeä suutuntuma. Alkoholi lämmittää hieman ja tuntuu aavistuksen, muttei hallitse turhan paljoa. Laadukas, suupielet sokeriseksi saava jouluiltojen lämmittäjä!

Bottle from trade with Marduk (Many Thanks!). Piwo smaczne srednio tresciwe malo akcentow swiatecznych. Porter z Estonii delikatny karmelowy, moze nieco przyprawowy. Ciemno czerwony, rubinowy z niewielka piana. Slodkawe i moze nieco przesadnie ale koncowka przyjemna.

Pours dark mahogany with a massive brownish head that stays for a bit. Aroma is usual watery malt and wet cardboard. Taste is somewhat fuller, has a bit of roasted malts.Has also caramel and burnt sugar and even a bit of hops in the finish. Nothing unpleasant going on with this beer which is already a good achievement for A Le Coq. As far as Christmas porters go, will probably drink something else next time.

50cl bottle in Tallinn. Pours very dark brown with a beige head. Malty aroma with caramel, dark malt and hints of dark fruits and roast. Fairly sweet and caramely, but still quite balanced. Some bitterness. Worked out well with both the duck and the dessert. Quite nice winter warmer.

BB 10.10.2014. Slight aroma of caramel and hints of alcohol. No head, dark brown, almost black appearance. Taste: dominating sweetness with some bitterness, caramel is also noticable. In the background there is flavor (probably the malt) that is typical for A Le Coq beers. The beer is little too carbonated for my taste. OK beer if you get it cheap, but there is nothing realy good about it.
