(Bottle. Thanks to SaintMatty) Dark brownish ruby colour with dense, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with roasted grain, dark bread, caramel and raisins. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit (raisins, prunes), caramel, dark bread and wort. Slightly bitter-sweet finish (more sweet than bitter though). More than medium body, fairly sweet. Possibly not exceptional and probably a touch too sweet, but nice and tasty.

bottle, thank you Fatphil! Clear, deep brown colour, nearly black, large and creamy beige head. Starts with lots of roasetd malts, caramel, chocolate, later with raisins and dates. Very smooth carbonation, lovely palate. Well-balanced throughout, a pleasure!

(Bottle, 0.5 l, courtesy of FatPhil) The beer poured dark reddish brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had roastedness, metallicnes and chocolate. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, roastedness, sweetness, chocolate, metallicness and bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty and bitter. Quite taste but too watery and weak.

Bottle. It pours a clear, reddish dark brown body under a dense, beige, fingerthick head. Some coffee-like roasted aromas blend with malty sweetness ansd some hops. A faint whiff of beef stock chimes in. The flavor is sweet and coffeeish, with hints of dried fruits, some caramel and bitterness and a little beef-stock. Full-bodied, quite dry, with a nice carbonation. Some alcohol warmth. Sweet, roasted finish. A quite nice one, lacking a bit to be a top beer. It needs a more pronounced flavor and aroma. (090412)

Dark brown to black, with a small off-white head. Malt and toffee in the aroma. Rather sweet with a lot of toffee and chocolate in the flavour.
