Draught @ Mundhæld. Pours black with small brown blubby head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, wood, whiskey. Flavor is sweet, rather bitter, roast malt, licorice, wood, dry oaky, whiskey, quite harsh actually. Medium body, average carbonation, dry bitter finish. Rather hard to drink. 120823

Bottle. Pours opaque dark brownish black with large dark brown head. Aroma is intense roasted malt, peated malt, dried rose leaves and soap. Taste is medium sweet, medium to very bitter, faint acidic and light salty. Body is oily with soft carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sweet and bitter with intense notes of roasted malt, prunes, sultana raisins, vanilla, peated malt, smoked ham and hints of tobacco ash. Nice depth and complexity

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is burnt rubber, some ink, mild syrup, smoked and mild alcohol. Flavour is tar, burnt birch, saunavihta, smoked nad some rubbery tones too. I kind of like the birchy tones in all it's strangeness.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a thick, syrupy, opaque black with a creamy, dense brownish head. Smokey nose, but also somewhat rubbery. Rich, roasty body. Again rubbery with massive oak tannins. Harsh and rough with a malty bitter finish. Oak chips paired with whiskey infusion does not make a BA Imperial Stout - very far from it actually. 170423

Draught @ SKAAL Sønderborg. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of roast and barrel, with notes of malt and yeast. Bitter, roasty flavour with notes oak and whisky and touches of yeast and malt. Bitter, roasty aftertaste with touches of whisky and barrel. Warming alcohol presence. Decent. Not overly whisky-aggressive and quite tasty.
