Swing top bottle. Fresh roasted coffee aroma, delicious! Malty flavor with cinnamon, dark chocolate, coffee and a hint of rubber. Oily bitter. Light coffeebitter aftertaste. Just below medium bodied. Tones of dried fruit. Very nice and very well balanced porter.

Opaque black beer, semi soft and semi dry palate. Minerally malt with quite a light touch of coffee. Left some thick brown sludge at the bottom of the glass. Semi crisp and dry minerally finish. Quite lightweight.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color ale with a small dark brown bubbly head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma of dry coffee with light roasted malt notes. Taste is a well balanced mix between some roasted malt with notes of dry coffee. Body has an oily texture with low carbonation and a nice creamy texture. Bottle has some age on it but still very drinkable with great notes of coffee.

50cl bottle kindly given to me by faroeviking. huge thumbs-up for giving me a chance to taste this retired brewery beer. bbf 01052009. batch 325. pitch black, brown thick but very small head. smooth velvetty aroma of vanilla and hard roasted cofee beans. faint sourish note from the hops. very nice sweet flavor that morphs into roasted coffee, then roasted grains and coffee, then almost charchoal. in the end the vanilla and sweetness shows up again yielding a fantastic delicate yet powerfull aftertaste. palate is a little more watery than what i prefer, however this beer still has loads of taste for a 6.5%’er. fantastic porter.

500ml bottle from the original Ølfabrikken. Black body with a brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and hops. Flavor is a complex blend of malt, roasted coffee, chocolate and bitterness. Nice body and nice balance.

(Bottle, Btach 267 BBE 150509, at Pikkulintu on 2008-08-28) Black. Large light brown head. Coffee and vanilla in nose. Full, oily and dry palate with little to medium carbonation. Lots of coffee, roastedness, chocolate, bitterness and hint of liquorice in taste.

Bottle at home ... Deep solid black ... nice nose lots of smooth coffee ... Lots and lots of coffee ... little syrupy ... little alcohol ... quite a coffee bitter linger. tiny touch of spice... nice enough but its just not rounded enought to truely stand out.

Deep, black body. Creamy, light brown head. Excellent lace. Aroma of coffee, liquor, grapes, wine, malts, pear sirupe, ... Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour of liquorish coffee. This is great cold coffee. Quite soft and not very complex, but nice.
