(Draught at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen, 17 May 2007) Black colour with huge brown head. Roasted with heavy notes of black coffee, citrussy notes of hops and hints of cinnamon and ginger. Roasted taste with a firm malt backbone, creamy notes of coffee and citrussy hops. Coffee is more dominant in aroma than in taste. Great balance. Lovely stuff.

500ml swing-top bottle bought at Barley Wine, Copenhagen. Pours a dark brown, approaching black, coloured body. Tan frothy, long-lasting head. Roasty aroma of black malts, mocha and cocoa. Brown coffee beans to the fore with a wall of cinnamon and vanilla pudding in the background. Lingering dry-hopped tail. Gentle astringent mouthfeel. Medium bodied. A delicious, living product (thanks to Hildigöltur for the recommendation)(06.04.2007).

50 cL bottle. Pours almost black with brown creamy head. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Taste has distinct coffee bitterness, dry and slight sweet and the same time. Aftertaste seems a bit off compared to the otherwise perfectly balanced beer-coffe - my favourite for a Friday evening.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours completely black and opaque with a small, creamy light brown head. Aroma of hard roasted malts and some vanilla. Medium body with rather sweet notes of roasted malt with a lightly burned edge. Bitter finish from the burned malt. Quite delicious - although the coffee accents may not be too distinct. 181006

Bottled. Dark brown, with a beige head. Coffee, fruits, spices and chocolate in the aroma, whilst the flavor is mostly coffee and chocolate. Pleasant though. Full body and a mellow finish with some bitterness. (060616)
