Bottle 50 cl. Another beer these good people didn't quite get right - at least when it comes to strength, as 5% for an Imperial Stout must be said to be somewhat modest. But it takes time to get to know your new equipment. It pours pretty thick though. Completely opaque black with a creamy, light brown head. Sweet roast and vanilla in the nose, perhaps a wee smoky hint. Body seems rich for 5%, roasted indeed, lightly sweet vanilla accents and again a hint of smoke. Very smooth on the palate. Sweet licorice finish. It certainly appears richer than 5%, but no matter what, it's simply a lovely and very well made Stout. Very enjoyable and drinkable. 300622
