Bottle at home, picked up from Bier Cab Barcelona, 17/03/24. Pitch black with a khaki cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is dark malts, maple syrup, dried fruit rinds, molasses, treacle toffee, herb, barrel tones. Taste comprises big candied fruits with a herbal bite, molasses, spice, whisky barrel, chocolate melt, dark malts, dates, subtle enough maple syrup. Full bodied, light oily feel, semi drying close with a balanced warming boost. Big ballsy BA impy that fits the brief.

Sampled from the tap at GTMW 2023. Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has whiskey and bitter dark grains with some maple and roast coming through. Flavor has a good amount of maple, sweet dark grains and whiskey with roast in the finish.

Bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a pitch black with a finger of brown head that dissipates. Nose is really unique - oak, bourbon, apple, plum, maple syrup and faint smoke. Solid viscosity, more of the same fruity notes with plum and apricot standing out again. Milk chocolate, oak and bourbon dominate. Transient hits another one out of the park, letting the barrel really shine.
