Pours deeply black, medium to medium large browned head. Scent is roasty, kinda sharp, less sugarry than expected. Some coffee. Mild on the barrel. Taste is totally different though, more of what i hoped for, and than some ! Straight up maple goodness, coffee tones, mild but present whisky and oak. Sweet, thick. Pastry heavy, but all maple ! Happyness infusion liquid. I can see how this is concidered too sweet, to straight forward though, even for me, this is ... Pretty one sided. I'm just lucky it's a side i really like !

Bottle shared at Brewver Belgian Winter Gathering. Opaque black color, virtually no head. Aroma and flavor are malts, soft chocolate notes, sweetish cocoa. Thick texture, full body. Solid. 8-7-8-8-7,5

Bottle @ Belgian Beer Geeks Winter Gathering. Pours pitch black, no head to speak of. Thick, oily smooth engine oil on the palate, quite sweet with rich dark chocolate, layered dark malts, coffee and lashings of maple syrup with a prominent bourbon presence smoothing things out. Really nicely presented.

Bottle at Belgian Beer Geeks Gathering. Black with small tan head. Massive fudge, bourbon, maple, chocolate, massive brown sugar. Very sweet, light bitter. Full bodied. Great stuff, I love this brewery.

Clear dark brown beer, small irregular brown head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: malty start, good roast, a bitter impression, smoky, grains, cow fodder. MF: soft carbon, full body, creamy texture. Taste: sweet and sugary start, alcohol, caramel, lots and lots of dark chocolate, malty, grains, sugary. Aftertaste: more caramel, molasses, a bit oxidised, sugary, coconut, vanilla, walnut, sugary, good!

Noire, léger filament doré au verre, col fin blanc-cassé effervescent et du coup pas tenace du tout.
Arôme est sur une bonne dose de malts, cookie, dip érable, barrique légère, sucre cristallisé ; le tout restant dominé par l’apport malté.
Palais sur un malté profond, finement biscuité, caramélisé, cookie dough, pointe d’érable avec ce volet organique, pointe de bourbon avec un fini délicieux caramel toasté.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Rich dark malts, rich smooth dark chocolate cream. Some chocolate liqueur. Big ripe fruity bourbon barrel. Huuuuge. Raisin and Prune and just an fuck ton of bourbon barrel goodness. Savoury rich finish. Bloody marvellous!

Bottle. Pours inky black with a small tan head. Aroma is heavy maple, brandy, fudge, vanilla. Flavor is quite sweet, bit of treacle and heavy maple. Medium body.
