1122 – the first evidence that monks brewed fine quality beer at the monastery goes back to this year.
The St. Michaelsberg Original Dunkel is fully steeped in this tradition recreating a taste that is the origin of all major German beer styles and another speciality of Bavaria. A Dark chestnut caramel colored rustic and hearty beer with a soft, elegant and strong malt aroma with a firm, creamy and long lasting head and sweet and dry finish makes it the perfect beer for dinners with meat-dishes.
