Bottle. Clear, golden beer with a quite nice, off-white head. Too grainy aroma, with alcohol, sweetness and a good dash of hops. Sweet, quite bitter flavor, typical Jever bitterness, with grains and alcohol as well. Medium to full body. The finish is quite sweet and alcoholic. Dry, warming beer that didn’t impress me too much. Bottled (thanks to magic_dave6 for sharing!). Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is skunky hops, saltwater and some malts. Flavour is not much at all, but some weak malty notes. The finish has a big alcohol peak along with some grassyness. Unpleasant, and very watery.

33cl bottle from Ealing BF 2007. Gold with thick lasting off white head. Clean smelling lager, some lovely creamy hop. A rather good bock actually with lots of hops. Bit like an extreme pilsner. Hops are greenish. Wished I’d bought more than 1 bottle.

Bottle. Small head with short duration. Color is golden. Aroma is malt and hops. Taste is straw, malt and hops. Also tastes of some odd herb that I cannot describe. Maybe its the type of hops that is used. Long foul aftertaste. Quite disappointing. Worst bock I have ever had.

Test vom 21.9.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,9,10,11,12,11 - 10,20

A yellow beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of both straw and malt, while the flavor is plainly sweet malty, leading to an alcoholic ind. A very simple bock - too simple for my liking.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a clear pilsener golden with a white head. Hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied and malty with both a solid bitterness and alcohol in the finish. Rather classical Maibock. 250606

Bottle from MoritzF
It has the Jever hop aroma allright, under that there is a far more fat malt smell than in the regular pilsner. Amber, fine pearling carbonation, low head. Chewy malt body, alcohol detectable, offset by dry bittering hops. Ramps down pretty quickly, bitter finish with a bit less staying power than with the pils.

Bottle: Deep golden coloured, small creamy head; sweet-malty and somewhat fruity aroma (bitter almonds !), traces of herbal hoppiness; distinctive bitter and sweet flavour, medium bodied, a bit oily; lingering bitter-sweet finish, almonds again. A well made, hearty Bock............
