Canned(500ml). -courtesy of Doggythedog who brought it from Split (thanks!)
Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, salty grainy nose. Light malty, weak hoppy and grainy with salty notes in the finish. Expected watery palate, boring lager. Had far worse beers, also far better.

0.5 l can, had it directly from it. Aroma of sweet malty flowers and some herbal hoppiness. Flavor quite similar to austrian marzens, malty, sweetish, pretty bland, but still pleasant and drinkable. Had medium carbonation with quite long industrial sweetish finish. Not bad, not good either. But...as Doggythedog said, we have more than enough pale lagers...and why not, we deserve it when we live in a country where people like "pale beer" not "dark beer". That’s our mass’ only classification.

The bottle looks really good. The beer in the glass normal. Very zippy, not much foam. Starts dry and hoppy, then a bit vapid. The finish is dry and sourish. Drinkable. One of the best Oettinger-beers.

Can purchased at a store in Split Pale yellow-golden colour, big thick white head that went away at a medium to slow pace. Slightly grainy nose. Dusty, eggy taste, some sourish hopiness. Grainy maltiness. Typical, boring industrial German lager, nothing to write home about. And now, the rant. This is imported by Daruvarska Pivovara and their owners, Durata (a company that fills beers in cans and plastic bottles). They do the bottling (Daruvarska) and the canning (Durata) for some reason. Odd but it wouldn’t be bad if not for the fact that they’ve increased their portfolio (consisting of a pils and a bunch of supermarket pale lagers) in the last few months with 2 other useless pale lagers. I mean, what the fuck. CROATIA DOESN’T NEED MORE PALE LAGERS. We need more styles, at least black beers. NOT PALE LAGERS, IMPORTED OR LOCALLY BREWED. Please make something else. Please.

Bottle: Golden coloured, visible carbonation, mid-sized white head, slowly collapsing and sticking to the glass; moderate grainy-bitter nose with a good dash of vegetables; light bitter flavour and light bodied; short, delicate bitter-malty finish. Clean and boring..........
