Resin & Rye is an American style barleywine. Brewed with Maris Otter, rye malt and crystal malts. Hopped heavily with two of our favourite old school classic hops Colombus and Chinook. We brewed this resinous beast to mark the 1000th brew at our Oranmore brewery. Resin, rye and a touch of caramel sweetness, all bolstered by a firm, bitter finish. A dream fire side sipper. Drink fresh or age cold!

44cl can from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours a beautiful brilliant red/brown, clear, with gross, heterogenous cream foam. Aroma is intensely herbal and resinous, malty. Body is on the dense side, with average carbonation and quite a stickiness. Taste is rather bitter, but with an underlying malty sweetness. Final is still intense, and fairly long. My only critical comment: this beer is good, rather good, but in my view it has nothing to do with barley wine. It's more like an imperial IPA.

Clear mahogany brown colour with thin head. Aroma is grassy and malty. Flavour has lots of sweet, fruity, jammy, caramel notes. Also dry, woody astringent bitter notes too.
