Tap at ZBF 2009. Golden lager one of the better ones in Belgium. Well balanced bitternesh as supposed to be.

Bottle from Beer Merchants. It pours clear yellow with a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is sweet, grainy, damp grass, straw, cheap white bread and biscuit. The taste is crispy, quite dry, snappy, toast, quite grain, cereal, nutty, crackery malt, straw, grass, herbal accents and some spice with a drying finish. Average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Not bad. Drinks fine.

Large foamy white head on a dull golden coloured body. Malt, grain, light citrus & bitter tastes. Poor.

@ Sint-Annakamer, Ninove. Draft. Clear blond colour, white foam. Nice pilsner, light sweet, bitter hoppy notes, a light metallic touch.

Grainy apple aroma and flavor. Somewhat dusty with just a touch of hops, the apple dominates. Hopbitter aftertaste. Disappointing beer.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden with gentle carbonation. Nicelhy pr Nose - green beans, some corn. A hint of metal and citrus. Taste - more citrus and green beans. Light hop spice. Palate - light bodied and very creamy. Good bitterness on the finish. Overall - good example of a pils even if the nose wasn't as good as the taste.

Bottle at home in London. Phelps just took gold in the 4x200 freestyle relay - attaboy! Pours a perfectly clear yellow with a moderate, perfectly white foam head. Nose is completely dry cereal, hay and light dough. Light sweet flavor, some crispy, dry dough malts, light hay bitterness, hints of lemon pith, subtle corn flakes. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Crisp finish, not too sweet with some hay bitterness, bone dry dough, very mild cereal. It’s somewhat light in character, but what is there is very pleasant and the beer, overall, is quite refreshing. Good.
