Deep dark color. Apple, raisin and a hint of licorice in the light aroma. Sweet and thinnish with licorice and grapes. The taste is OK, but somehow this beer lacks quality. Bottle from MoritzF.

Test vom 2.7.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,8,7,7,6,7 - 7,40

Bottle: Deep amber coloured, fluffy off-white head; clear malty nose, hints of caramel, some traces of hops; slightly sweet flavour, moderate malty taste only slightly bitter aftertaste, nearly bland aftertaste. All in all: neither good nor bad.......

(bottle) Deep brown colour with a medium foamy slightly off-white head. Dense floral hoppy nose with strong touch of marzipan and toffee. Medium sweet(malty) taste, light to medium bodied. Initially sweetmalty taste with hints of caramel and marzipan and an also soft sweet butterscotch finish, quite thin and with a profane bitterness in the background. Contrary to the name "Winter Hopfen" it seems to contain not much hops.
