Bottled (BBE 10/2007)
Hazy pale yellow, big foany head. Aroma has not much juniper but artifical lemon - Two Dogs type. Light, citrus crisp mouthfeel. Soda pop lemon in the flavor too, very faint flavor of juniper. Dissapointing lame brew from normal high-standard Val-Dieu.

Draught. Poured by a brewery official not knowing the first letter of the beer alphabet: 5cl of water remaining in the glass, spout fully in the head, had nearly to pour in three times - all the possible faults from the book. Disgrace! Hell-gold beer; very dense fine head, stable as glue. Superb juniper-branch nose, laurel, piney and resiny. Again superb juniper - this time rather the berries - and resiny taste - truly great and innovative (although, the original "Dikkenek" from Martens...). Slick, medium bodied, some burning MF, not due to the malts, rather the distillate. This is a great new beertaste. This ought to get 17/20 maybe, but having this poured in such way by a brewery official, needs a form of punishment.

(bottle) Hazy orange colour with creamy white head. Very strong citric (lemon peel) and juniper (Wacholder) aroma, almost perfumed. A very special brew but far away from being boring. The juniper & coriander “spice” is dominating this beer. My (Schnapps)-tip for those who are interested: try Eversbusch Doppelwacholder from Hagen-Haspe !

A hazy orange beer with a disappearing white head. The is weird with notes of alcohol and juniper berries. The flavor is sweet with primary notes of juniper berries. Not my cup of beer.

Cloudy yellow/white color, short frothy head. Aroma is indeed of lemon dish washing detergent. Tastes like crap also, very much lemon. It's obvious this stuff is better to clean things up than to drink.

I don't know if Capflu had a bad bottle but mine was Ok (not extraordinary but not bad). Smells of DeKuypper Gin, cloudy gold, with a smooth gin taste, spices, and some lemons (yes, a little like Vick's...you ruined it for me Todd!!!). Alcool comes out in aftertaste. Nice to taste at least once...but not my forte!

Pale yellow, lively appearance, rich short lived head. Big juniper berry aroma, actually reminiscent of shampoo. Medium sweet and medium bodied with dry finish. Dominating flvaours are those of juniper berries and pine needles.
