Stupenduous, very fine & dense white over fully hazy yellow-orange beer with faint lime shine. Flowery, bit buttery (not diacetyl, though) nose. Then, lots of banana, faint nutmeg and absolutely eugenol, even nearly solvent-like. Sweet-malty and wheaty. Bit toasted, with hot pisang, cloves, phenolic. Even fish oil (in the best possible way). Quite well-bodied, chewy and powerful wheat slickness. Martin has it exactly right: this is not a typical Weizenbock, but a very strong version of their Hefeweizen.

Bottle (purchased at the brewery) : Hazy, light amber to orangey coloured, big stable fluffy head; sweetish fruity nose (bananas, cloves), sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, soft creamy MF; fruity (oranges, lemons), sweetish finish, only a little bit of tartness in the aftertaste, very well hidden alcohol. Extremely well rounded Weizen, moreish..................

(bottle, from the brewery) Hazy golden colour with a big and firm white foamy head. Moderately sweet wheat-malty, banana and citrus aroma with a touch of clove-phenols and also alcohol when it warms. Only moderately sweet and surprisingly sour flavour, medium to full body, well carbonated mouthfeel. Wheat-malty taste with sour-fruity notes; medium dry, yeasty and fruity finish. Quaffable, even refreshing pale Weizenbock, the alcohol is extremely well hidden.

On tap London Drinker 2006. Cloudy dark gold colour with lasting off white head. Banana/lemon/bubble gum. Pear drop flavour (thanks Chris). Pretty good, bit of spice. Quite like it. The spice on the end is good
