Bottled at Café Abseits, Bamberg, Bavaria. Muddy golden, creamy head. Mustardy banana aroma. Sweet with restrained esters and rounded spritzy mouthfeel. Lightly yeasty with medium body and filling mouthfeel. A bit light in flavour, but very drinkable for a weizenbock.

Bottled "Merkendorfer Weizen-Bock"
Hazy orange color, a big foamy head. Sourish wheaty aroma. Sour, malty, some banana in the aftertaste. Sour weizenbock, full bodied, but nothing outstanding in the character.

(Bottle 50 cl) Hazy golden with a dense, off-white head. Very fresh and fruity aroma with banana standing out. Rather full-bodied with typical wheat esters such as banana and cloves. A whiff of chemical diacetyl, but still a nice beer. Courtesy of Dalle. 040307

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a fast disappearing orange head. The aroma is sweet and very wheaty as well as medium notes of oranges, and light notes of alcohol. The flavor is sweet and very fruity - oranges and mango dominate, leading to a dry wheaty end. The body is thin inspite of the alcohol tickling the tongue. It reminds me more of a fruit beer than a Weizen and especially a Weizen Bock.

Bottle Clear, dark golden body. Off-white, rocky/frothy head (large). Lovely aroma of hops, honey, ... quite complex and good balance in the aroma. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Very well balanced with some complexity. Yummie, I like this one.

Cloudy golden color, off-white head. Aroma of banana, wheat, caramel malt, hint of smoke or bacon, bock version of a weizen is a good description. Sweet taste, also malty, thick body. Very nice stuff.
